Michaela Spružinová is a glass artist whose work focuses on working with space. Her glass objects are characterized by fragility and lightness, but at the same time they carry a strong narrative. Mira Macík creates on the border between serigraphy, collage and intuitive graphic expression, in which she uses the principles of Art brut. Layers of lines, symbols and colored surfaces appear in her works, which create a strong personal iconography. Michaela Spružinová has known Mira Macík for a very short time, but they immediately hit it off personally and artistically. “We have been working together on the exhibition since December of last year. I think we managed to create something unique designed specifically for a specific space,” Macík reveals, and Spružinová adds: “For one of the exhibited pieces, I was even inspired by the local chandelier by academic sculptor Jiří Boháč. In my work, I used the same glass that the glassmakers of the time also worked with,”
