Espadrilles are fragile finely processed by a very demanding technique. The material from which they are created is originally a glass sculpture - my portrait, which I broke into small fragments. I made glass strings from them, broke them into centimeter-long pieces and then joined them. This created a hatch, a three-dimensional color drawing evoking the impression of fabric or fine canvas.
